Support Reem, Alaa, Rana and Manal in Gaza ❤️
Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
My name is Sarah, I am running this campaign on behalf of my friend Reem in Gaza. Whatever you donate, I will make sure that Reem can access the money immediately without having to wait for the fundraiser goal to be reached. Feel free to contact me for questions 🙂 You can also add Reem on her new Instagram account: @Reem.hlil
First of all:
Reem and her family have been verified by @willyouhelpmyfriend which means that donators can be sure that their money goes to a real person. I will post updates about Reem and her family here regularly.
About the family:
Manal and her daughters Rana, Alaa and Reem are from Rafah. Before the war, Reem worked as a humanitarian worker helping children with disabilities. She loved her work, but also loved coming home after a long day of work and read a book. Their home was destroyed by the Israeli army, and they were displaced to a tent in Khan Younis. In July 2024, disaster struck: the father of the family, may he rest in peace, went to check on their old house and was killed on the spot. Reem, her mother and her sisters miss him every day and they struggle to survive without him.
The situation in January 2025:
It’s very cold in the tent, the bombings are constant, and there is no income to purchase basic necessities. The family completely depends on our donations to buy food, blankets, gas for cooking, medicine et cetera. Your donation will not end the war, but it will help to keep Reem and her family members alive.
A message from Reem:
My father was martyred when he went to check on our house; he was killed in front of it, and our house was demolished. Now we are without a home, without a father, and without safety.
We have no provider to support our family and help us meet the burdens of life. We are exhausted by loss, hunger, and cold.
I kindly ask for your assistance and donations to help us meet our basic needs. We have no men in the family; we are only daughters. Every donation helps, even small.
Please, do not abandon my family.
Dear friends,
We want to take a moment to thank each of you who has donated, shared, and supported Reem and her family. Your support has given them moments of relief in a time filled with fear and loss.
A personal message from Reem:
Things have gotten worse over the past months. Hunger has ravaged us. We have run out of flour and other kinds of food. Their prices have multiplied many times over. We’ve started to feel dizzy due to lack of nutrition. The children cry day and night asking for bread, but to no avail—there is no flour left. Please, don’t hesitate to send even a small amount of money. It really makes a difference to us. Time is passing, and hunger is consuming us.
At this moment, prices in Gaza are soaring beyond comprehension—a single bag of flour now costs over $400, when it can even be found. Families like Reem’s are forced to make impossible choices between eating and treating a sick family member.
The people of Gaza need us now more than ever. Please keep sharing, please keep giving if you can. Every act of support means hope, dignity, and the chance to survive.
With deep thanks, on behalf of Reem and her family, Sarah
